The "Official" 5 Week Mark!

 BabyFruit Ticker

How exciting is this?! Baby is now the size of an appleseed! Next time you eat an apple, think of future Baby B ;) But as you can see by the remaining fruits on this chart, we have a LONG way to go and a lot of belly to stretch! All is exciting and well, though. We are super excited! As I am sure most new parents feel, we are quite nervous and feel quite unprepared. We are praying and I am certain that these feelings will settle out :)

Yesterday I mentioned our Buy Buy Baby coupon. Well, we ended up going and buying a Snoogle pillow. See their website at: http://leachco.stores.yahoo.net/snoogle.html. Yes, it looks very weird. No, I do not have the pregnant belly that will fully benefit by the shape yet. No, I did not sleep very well last night (and neither did Andy...poor guy). But I will continue sticking it out since I need to get used to sleeping with it. I honestly think I was misusing it. Tonight will hopefully work out better :)

In the food craving department, the only food that I have seriously wanted are onions. Crazy, I know! Onion rings, onions on my salad, onions on my pizza, etc. Baby is certainly going to eat a lot of onions! :) At the grocery store today I picked up some almonds and packaged salmon since I read that those foods are really good for snacking during pregnancy. I am a little paranoid, though. I have spent the last 5 months losing thirty pounds in preparation for pregnancy. When I did my Sunday weigh-in today, I went up a pound. I know that I will gain/retain weight during pregnancy, but I really want to stay in a healthy guideline for baby and I. :) Weight Watchers has been cancelled and this girl has been eating pretty healthy. Praying that I can stay healthy!

5 Week Belly -- Not Much Yet
Today we took our first "pregnant belly" photo. At five weeks, there is really nothing to see, but it will be pretty cool to watch the week-by-week transformation to the official "Bump"!

I will keep you abreast of any news and updates. Hopefully the next several days will go smoothly and the hormones will continue working away. Grow, Baby, grow! :)
